We are looking for entry level accountants/HR & Managing Coordinator for EGM&M, H-Mart’s Pacific Northwest headquarters, that are fluent in Korean. Accounting/HR & Management experience is preferred but not required. There is a lot of flexibility in this role to cross-train in other accounting and finance related functions. Financial Accounting
Duties and Responsibilities
Monthly bank reconciliations, daily expense tracking, and vendor payments utilizing the accounting program, Quick Books.
Payroll processing for assigned stores or other H-Mart subsidiaries through ADP payroll platform.
Perform month-end and year-end reporting tasks.
Organizing and filing invoices.
Assist with annual audits.
Perform daily / weekly deposits of miscellaneous checks.
Provide coverage for the team as needed.
Have the ability to be flexible with your work schedule if it is necessary to meet deadlines.
Other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
BA in Accounting, Finance or related field is preferred.
Ability to prioritize, time manage and multi-task with limited supervision.
Fluent in Korean.
Proficient in MS Office including Excels.
Excellent organizational skills.
Ability to work under pressure and still meet required deadlines.
Excellent customer service skills with a positive attitude.
HR & Management
Duties and Responsibilities
Researching and interpreting rules, collective bargaining agreements (CBAs), and agency/statewide policy and practices provided by the state department of Labor & Industries and Employment Security Department.
Maintaining confidential personnel and payroll data.
Renewing and maintaining business and other operational licenses for all H-Mart related entities.
Organize and manage staff’s workflow to enhance efficiency and minimize humanely errors.
Analyze and then effectively strategize business goals, deadlines, schedules, budgets, needed resources, and team member coordination.
Update recruitment processes, which includes sourcing, screening, interviewing, and onboarding.
Problem solving various operational issues.
Point of contact for employee and manager inquires at all H-Mart related entities.
Assist with building, implementing, and maintaining HR business processes.
Suggest methods to update, simplify, or enhance processes, procedures, and technologies.
Qualifications
BA in Business Management, HR Management or related field is preferred.
Fluent in Korean.
Excellent organizational skills.
Ability to interpret, apply and advise on rules and policies.
Proficient in MS Office including Excels.
Ability to work under pressure and still meet required deadlines.
Excellent customer service skills with a positive attitude.
